Silence of the Lamb

When Jesus stood before the high priest, the council, and His accusers, He didn’t defend Himself. He didn’t lash out. He didn’t even speak to clear His name. In that moment, the Lamb of God chose silence—not because He was weak, but because He was fulfilling the will of the Father.

In this message, Pastor Justin McLane unpacks Matthew 26:57–68, Mark 14:53–65, Luke 22:63–65, Leviticus 21:10, and Exodus 20:16 to reveal the depth of Christ’s obedience and the injustice of the trial He endured. We’ll see how:

  • The spotless High Priest stood before corrupt priests.

  • The One who is Truth was condemned by false witnesses.

  • The Savior submitted to mocking and violence without retaliation.

This was not the silence of defeat—it was the silence of purpose, prophecy, and redemption.

As we walk the road to Calvary, we’re reminded that sometimes God’s greatest work is done when we stop fighting for our own defense and trust Him to fight for us.
